why silver turns black when exposed to air ?

Silver Sulphide and Hydrogen gas are formed by reaction of Silver with Hydrogen present in the air. This Silver Sulphide gets deposited over the pots. The color of Silver Sulphide is black which appears to be deposited over silver.
